Memory and Regeneration:Streets for People Column Editiors:Alberto Bologna,Michele Bonino,Pierre-Alain Croset If we think to the street as a public space project,we cannot avoid to read it as a right to live the urban environment[1].It is an urban right in the measure in which the street allows to all urban population categories to move freely in the city. But the space of the street, lately specialised and shaped itself on the idea of urban mobility based on the use of the car, forgetting, over the time, all the complexity of the urban movements and the urban meanings which the street embodies.Denying the independent and free movements, the street arrived to represent more an obstacle rather than a right.
