Common Failure Modes and Prevention Measures of Urban Gas PE Pipelines

通过查阅文献、燃气管道事故报道及结合实际工况,PE燃气管道重大事故主要与劣质管材及管件、施工质量、第三方破坏、地质沉降以及蚁类的侵蚀有关。对城镇埋地PE燃气管道这五种常见的失效模式进行论述,从材质源头、安装施工质量、运行维护等方面提出了对应的防治措施。

Through reviewing literatures, gas pipeline accident reports and combining actual working conditions, it was pointed out that major PE gas pipeline accidents were mainly related to poor quality pipes and fittings, construction quality, third-party damage, geological settlement and so on. In this article, five common failure modes of buried PE gas pipelines in cities and towns were discussed, and corresponding prevention and control measures in terms of material sources, installation and construction quality, operation and maintenance were put forward.
