摘要
内容依托教学(content-based instruction,CBI)是一种将内容与语言相融合的教学理念,近年来在国内外获得了越来越多的关注。通过介绍CBI理论的内涵与理据,阐释CBI在课堂教学中常见的五种模式,并分析了主题依托模式在ESP教学中的可行性,同时以“科技英语”课程为例,以6T教学法为指导,详细说明了CBI主题依托模式在课堂教学中的具体应用。实践证明,CBI指导下的ESP教学能够实现语言教学与学科内容的有效结合,从而提高学生的语言学习积极性,并为学生将来用英语进行行业内交流奠定基础。
As a teaching approach that combines content with language in the process of teaching,CBI has recently gained increasing attention both at home and abroad.This study begins with the definitions and theoretical foundations of CBI,explores the most popular five models and analyses the possibility of applying theme-based model in ESP courses.Also,the study specifies how Six T’s Approach,the first thematic framework for theme-based instruction,is applied in the course of English for Science and Technology.Based on the teaching practice,it is found that by effective melt of content and language,CBI can fuel students’language learning motivation,and meantime lay a foundation for students’use of English in their future professional field.
