20世纪10年代哥伦比亚大学教师学院中国学生的日常生活及其影响

A Study on the Daily Life of Chinese Students at the Teachers College of Columbia University in the 1910s

民国时期哥伦比亚大学教师学院培养了众多中国留美教育学者。20世纪10年代,郭秉文、蒋梦麟、陶行知、陈鹤琴等一大批新知识分子,为探寻教育救国真理,来到了哥伦比亚大学教师学院。这批留美生学成回国后,积极投身教育改革的时代洪流,对民国文化教育事业的发展产生了重大而深远的影响。借鉴日常生活史的研究方法,展现这批留美生的学习生活、课外活动以及师生交往的教育图景,既有助于梳理这一群体留美学习与日后教育思想、教育实践之间的内在关联,又有助于丰富留学史研究。

During the period of the Republic of China,Teachers College of Columbia University had trained many Chinese educational scholars.In the 1910 s,a large number of new intellectuals including Guo Bingwen,Jiang Menglin,Tao Xingzhi and Chen Heqin,entered Teachers College,pursuing the truth about saving the country through education.After they acquired knowledge of education,they returned to China,actively participated in the torrent of education reform and had a significant and far-reaching impact on the development of culture and education.By the research method of daily life history,it presents the educational picture of their study life,extra-curricular activities and teacher-student interaction.It sorts out the internal connection between their studying and their educational thoughts and practice,and also enriches the study of the history of studying abroad.
