This paper analyzed the basic situation of Korla City and the river systems,carried out in-depth discussions and demonstrations on the status quo of water resources development and utilization,the existing problems in water resources development and utilization,and the potential for water resources development and utilization,put forward suggestions on compressing groundwater extraction and improving agricultural water use efficiency,which provided a scientific basis for promoting the balanced development of regional water resources and the adjustment of water use in the economic structure.
