The autonomous vehicles will play a key role in ensuring traffic safety,improving traffic efficiency,reducing energy cost and environment pollution,building a new comprehensive transportation system and intelligent traffic.Based on the comprehensive analysis of China's auto-pilot vehicles,this paper systematically analyzes the profound changes and impacts that the autonomous vehicle will bring to the comprehensive transportation system from the respects of traffic development strategy,traffic planning and design,new traffic infrastructure and the traffic operation.The analysis result can provide reference for the industry authorities to carry out the prospective study and draw up the management and development policies.
