SHI Ji’s Experience in Tongue Diagnosis of“White Tongue Coating is not all Cold Syndrome”

史纪教授临证善于望舌,从“苔白不尽为寒”总结其望舌经验。以临床中最常见的白苔的辨识为着眼点,在回顾古代温病大家对白苔经典论述的基础上,结合史纪教授经验从现代中医的认识视角出发,切合临床实际重新对温病中常见的白苔进行分类分型,通过对舌苔的苔质和苔色的识别,以及对合并的舌质、排便、口中滋味、胸脘感觉等辨证要点的分析,达到鉴别患者不同的阴阳、表里、寒热、虚实属性的诊断,为临床提供相关的诊断及辨证用药思路。

Professor SHI Ji is good at tongue diagnosis in clinical practice.His experience in tongue diagnosis is summarized from“white tongue coating is not all cold syndrome”.Focusing on the identification of the most common white coating in clinical practice and on the basis of reviewing the classic discussion on white coating of experts of febrile diseases in ancient times,this paper re-conducts the classification of the common white coating in febrile diseases based on the clinical experience of Professor SHI Ji and from the perspective of modern traditional Chinese medicine.Through the recognition of the quality and color of tongue coating,as well as the analysis of tongue quality,defecation,taste in mouth,chest and epigastric sensation and other key points of syndrome differentiation,the diagnosis of different yin and yang,exterior and interior,cold and heat,deficiency and excess attributes of patients can be achieved,and the relevant diagnosis and medication ideas can be provided for clinical practice.
