Relationship between population mass index and stroke incidence in Shaanxi Province

目的探讨陕西省人群体质量指数与脑卒中发病的关系,为脑卒中的预防控制提供参考依据。方法于2012年—2015年采取多阶段随机整群抽样方法在陕西省抽取14616名≥15岁农村居民进行问卷调查、体格检查,分析体质量指数(BMI)与脑卒中患病的关系。结果陕西省14616名调查对象中,脑卒中患者182例,在调整了年龄、性别等混杂因素后,与第一四分位数(BMI≤21.31 kg/m^(2))的参与者相比,第四四分位数(BMI≥25.7 kg/m^(2))的超重人群发生脑卒中的相对危险度OR值(95%CI)为2.299(1.482,3.567,P<0.01),进一步分析肥胖人群(BMI≥28 kg/m^(2))发生脑卒中OR值(95%CI)2.005(1.374,2.927,P<0.01),对脑卒中发病具有统计学意义。结论BMI水平过高或肥胖与脑卒中关系密切,保持BMI在正常范围内是预防脑卒中发生的有效措施。

Objective To explore the relationship between population mass index and stroke incidence in Shaanxi Province,and to provide reference for the prevention and control of stroke.Methods From 2012 to 2015,a multi-stage random cluster sampling method was adopted to select 14616 rural residents(≥15 years old)in Shaanxi Province to conduct questionnaire surveys and physical examinations to analyze the relationship between body mass index(BMI)and stroke prevalence.Results Among the 14616 survey subjects in Shaanxi Province,there were 182 stroke patients.After adjusting for confounding factors such as age and gender,compared with participants in the first quartile(BMI≤21.31 kg/m^(2)),the relative risk(95%confidence interval)of stroke in the overweight population in the fourth quartile(BMI≥25.7 kg/m^(2))was 2.299(1.482,3.567,P<0.01).Further analysis of the obese population(BMI≥28 kg/m^(2))is 2.005(1.374,2.927,P<0.01),which is statistically significant for the incidence of stroke.Conclusion Excessive BMI level or obesity is closely related to stroke.Keeping BMI within the normal range is an effective measure to prevent stroke.
