Iconoclasm:Idol Parodies in the Hebrew Bible

"偶像讥讽"经文的主要特点是通过模仿列国制造神像的过程,来嘲笑和攻击偶像崇拜.本文意在结合美索不达米亚神像的制作过程和崇拜传统,通过对偶像讥讽相关经文段落的分析,指出偶像的无效实际上就是雕刻者和崇拜者自身的无效,经文讽刺的真正对象是在偶像崇拜中"封闭"自我,却又需要回归和被拯救的以色列信众.

The main characteristic of biblical texts on“idol parody”,is that mockery and attack on idolatry is achieved through the imitation of idol-making process of the foreign nations.In this paper,a brief comparison is made between the process of making idols and cultic traditions in Mesopotamia.The idol parodies in the biblical texts are also analyzed.It is then shown that the invalidity of idols is in fact the invalidity of the sculptors and worshippers themselves.Ultimately,the real object the text's mockery is the Israelite believers who“close”themselves off from the divine,and who,consequently,need to return and be saved.
