摘要
根据Mona Baker的叙事理论,翻译是一种再叙事,起着建构现实而不仅仅是描述现实的作用。译者作为叙事建构的主体,可以采用时空建构、文本素材的选用、标示式建构和人物事件再定位的建构策略,参与到社会叙事建构中。基于晚清“救亡启蒙”和中西文化交错的叙事语境,探讨林纾如何发挥叙事建构的主体性,从社会现实和变革、文化传统、政治制度等方面去影响叙事,实现其启蒙思想、救国保种的政治目的。
According to Mona Baker’s narrative theory,translation is a kind of re-narration,which plays the role in constructing reality rather than merely describing reality.As the main body of narrative construction,translators can take part in the construction of social narration by adopting the construction strategies,such as time and space construction,selection of textual materials,labeling construction and repositioning of characters and events.In the context of the“enlightenment of national salvation”in the late Qing dynasty and the interweaving of Chinese and western cultures,this paper discusses how Lin Shu exerts the subjectivity of narrative construction,and influences the narration from the aspects of social reality and reform,cultural tradition and political system,so as to realize his political purpose of enlightenment thought and saving the nation and species.
