The current situation of FRP fishing yachts in China is briefly introduces and suitably classified. The general design requirements and treatment methods of this kind of yachts are analyzed and discussed, including the general design requirements, the determination of main performance and the installing of fishing equipment and system to such vessels. The critical technical problems are preliminarily analyzed, including the design and treatment of molded line, the improvement of motion and the comfort issue. The general design issue of the type of yachts has been applied, and its treatment methods and gained conclusions can offer reference for the same type of ship design.
