Musical Dance Drama: the Birth and Development of Yunnan EthnicDrama Genre after the Founding of the People's Republic of China

云南是歌舞的海洋,云南各少数民族的乐舞、乐歌在抒情表意的繁复发展中,一直到“演故事”发生,就走进了“戏剧家族”。云南民族剧种是中华人民共和国成立后的新事物,是在中国共产党的文艺政策鼓励、推动下产生的中华戏剧家族中的新剧种,在中华人民共和国成立后的边疆政治稳定及边疆政治意识形态建构中发挥了重要作用。

Yunnan is the sea of songs and dances. Musical dance and musical songs developed in the mix ofexpressions and entered the“family of drama”when“story playing”happened. Yunnan ethnic opera genreswas a new thing after the founding of the People's Republic of China,which was encouraged and promoted bythe literary and art policies by the Communist Party of China,is a new genre in the family of Chinese dra-mas. These genres of opera in Yunnan played important roles in the stabilization of borderland politics andthe forming of borderland political ideology after the founding of the People's Republic of China.
