On the Dance Activities of the Gentry Class in Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties

魏晋南北朝是我国历史上士族阶级较为鼎盛的时代,政治上的特权决定了他们对此一时期的社会发展产生了极大的影响。一方面他们以累世经学治国辅政,保障了礼乐正声的延续和传播;另一方面他们又崇尚玄学而不同流俗,在纵情享乐的同时推动了舞蹈技艺水平的不断提高。因此,这一时期士族阶级对舞蹈艺术发展所产生的影响值得学界深入探索。

The Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties is the golden period of gentry class in Chinese history. Their political privileges determined their immeasurable influence in the social development. On the one hand,they ruled the country with cumulative Confucian classics to supplement the national governance,ensuring the continuation and spread of orthodox rites and music. On the other hand,they advocated a different kind of metaphysics and promoted the continuous improvement of dance techniques while indulging in pleasure. Therefore,the influence of the gentry class on the dance development during this period is worthy of further exploration.
