“大地质”培养理念下“普通地质学”课程教学改革--以西南石油大学地球科学与技术学院为例

Teaching Reform of General Geology Course under the Concept of“Broad Geology”: Taking the School of Geoscience and Technology of Southwest Petroleum University as an Example

“普通地质学”是能源类高校地质类相关专业的专业基础和核心课程,对稳定专业思想、增强地学兴趣、培养地学思维、引领思想成长具有重要的作用。在现今能源结构调整、就业形势低迷的背景下,“普通地质学”面临课时少、内容多、教学尺度难以把握、考核评价指标不全面的问题。在拓宽基础、淡化专业的背景下,从改变教学模式、拓展实践渠道、完善学习平台、改革考核方式等方面入手,建立厚基础、宽口径、重能力的“大地质”培养模式,有利于培养适应多行业需求的地质应用型技术人才。

General Geology is a professional foundation and core course of geology related majors in energy colleges and universities,which plays an important role in stabilizing professional thought,enhancing interest in geoscience,cultivating geoscience thinking and leading the growth of thought.Under the background of the ad-justment of energy structure and the current depressed employment situation,the course of General Geology is faced with the problems of less class hours,a lot of content,the difficulty in handling the degree of difficulty in teaching,and the incomplete evaluation indicators.Under the background of broadening the foundation and weak-ening the specialty,this paper proposes to set up the“broad geology”training model which emphasizes solid foun-dation,wide caliber,and strong skills,from the aspects of changing the teaching model,expanding the practice channel,perfecting the learning platforms,and reforming the assessment methods,which is beneficial to the cultiva-tion of applied geological technical talents to meet the needs of many industries.
