Experience of Professor CHAO Enxiang in treatment of urticaria

国医大师晁恩祥教授在治疗荨麻疹等过敏性皮肤病方面有着丰富的理论和实践经验。晁教授认为“风邪伏留”为发病原因,祛邪外出为首要治则,提出急慢分期、气血分证辨治模式,急性期以“疏风宣肺”为主,慢性期以“养血活血、调和营卫”为主,并善用虫类药及止痒药针对症状进行治疗,在临床上卓有成效,为中医治疗荨麻疹提供了新的思路。

Professor CHAO Enxiang,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,has rich theoretical and clinical experience in the treatment of allergic skin diseases such as urticaria. Professor CHAO thought “wind pathogen hidden in the body” is the etiology of urticaria,and eliminating pathogenic qi out is the primary therapeutic principle. At the same time,Professor CHAO recommended to treat acute urticaria and chronic urticaria separately. In the acute stage,the main treatment was “dispelling wind pathogens and ventilating lung”,while in the chronic stage,the main treatment was “nourishing blood and promoting blood circulation,harmonizing yingfen and weifen”.Moreover,Professor CHAO was good at using insect drugs and antipruritic drugs for targeted treatment of symptoms in urticaria. The experience of Professor CHAO in the treatment of urticaria is expounded,which provides ideas for the treatment of urticaria in traditional Chinese medicine.
