Obscure-Distinctiveness: The Reconstruction of Regional Identity of Metropolitan Local Residents

随着城市化进程的突飞猛进,外来人口愈发频繁地流入大都市,社会成员对大都市开放包容的诉求越来越强烈。大都市本地居民的地域身份认同面临着来自社会比较失利和时代价值观的双重挑战,引发了"社会认同何以可能"的本体性焦虑。本地居民通过两种策略来重构地域身份认同,即构建社会比较的多层次维度和转变身份认同的表现方式。这是一种在全球化时代背景下,考虑到城市包容性的隐晦地域身份认同的建构模式。地域身份认同的重构不是一劳永逸的,而是一个周而复始的过程。

With the rapid development of urbanization,the inflow of external population is becoming increasingly frequent,which has produced stronger demand for openness and inclusiveness of metropolis.Local residents’regional identity is facing dual challenges from the failure in social comparison and the values of the times,which cause the ontological anxiety of"how can social identity be possible".Local residents reconstruct regional identity by reconstructing the hierarchical dimension of social comparison and changing the expression of identity.Considering the city’s inclusiveness,this is a kind of obscure construction mode of regional identity in the context of globalization.The reconstruction of regional identity is not once and for all,but a process of repetition.
