20世纪以来,理论界多以意识形态批评为己任,以“大文论”的拯救态势占据文论话语的中心位置,而关注文学内部规律演化轨迹的理论研究正在逐步边缘化,《现代西方文学观念简史》一书的作者彼得·威德森重提“文学性”,从对文学概念的历史梳理和检视开始,对“文学性”在当代具有的内涵、地位与功能做出了有价值的理论思考,为新世纪理论研究空间中的“文学性”的内涵和潜在功能提供了新的研究思路。

Since the 20th century,most theoretical circles have taken ideological criticism as their responsibility,and the salvation of"big literary theory"has occupied the central position of literary discourse,while theoretical research focusing on the evolutionary trajectory of the internal laws of literature is gradually being marginalized.Peter Widson,the author of the book A Brief History of Modern Western Literary Concepts,revisited"literariness".Starting from the historical combing and review of literary concepts,he made an analysis of the connotation,status and function of"literariness"in the contemporary era.It provides valuable theoretical thinking and provides new research ideas for the connotation and potential function of"literariness"in the theoretical research space of the new century.
