嘉靖《湖广图经志书》编纂考略

On The Compilation of HUGUANGTUJINGZHISHU Compiled in Jiajing Era

检阅见存《湖广图经志书》,所载不仅有嘉靖初年之事,更记有嘉靖二十年(1541)以后的内容。比校天一阁藏本和影尊经阁藏本及南京图书馆藏本可知,《湖广图经志书》于嘉靖元年初刻之后,似至少有过三次校改增补,第一次是嘉靖二年吴廷举令教谕吴錬等所做改补,第二次改补的时间不会早于嘉靖十一年,第三次改补则不早于嘉靖二十二年。从卷目及部分内容安排考察,嘉靖《湖广图经志书》已经突破了"姑仍旧志,附以新事"的既定体例,亦未完全保留成化《湖广通志》的内容。

The HUGUANGTUJINGZHISHU or Huguang Chronicles(湖广图经志书)records not only the events in the early year of Jiajing(嘉靖),but the events after the 20th year of Jiajing(1541).Comparing the editions of Tianyige,Zunjingge and the edition collected in the Nanjing Library,we can learn that HUGUANGTUJINGZHISHU was edited at least three times after the first edition completed in the 1st year of Jiajing.The first revising was in 2nd year of Jiajing,it was completed by Wulian who followed Wu Tingju’s command.The second revising was not earlier than the 11th year of Jiajing,and the third one was not earlier than the 22th year of Jiajing.Researching the volume and arrangement of content,we can learn that the principle of"following the old chronicles and supplement new things"was abandon,and the contents of HUGUANGTONGZHI compiled in Chenghua Era was not completely retained in it.
