The residue of ethylene oxide in tea leaves being concerned

摘要 环氧乙烷是一种具有遗传毒性的物质,长期摄入可能致癌。随着出口欧洲的印度产芝麻原料环氧乙烷高残留丑闻后,大米、茶叶、坚果、干菜等食物中环氧乙烷残留问题也引起了进口国的密切关注。本文介绍了环氧乙烷的化学性质、毒性和包括茶叶在内的食品中残留的情况。对茶叶控制环氧乙烷残留提出初步建议。 Ethylene oxide is a genotoxic substance that may causes cancer after long-term ingestion.The scandal over high level of ethylene oxide in the sesame seeds from India has attracted great attention for the residue of ethylene oxide in foods stuffs including rice,tea,nuts and dried vegetables.The chemical properties,toxicity and residues of ethylene oxide in food stuffs including tea were described in the present paper.Suggestions on controlling ethylene oxide residue in tea were also proposed.
