The establishment of the adult voluntary guardianship system is a highlight of the Civil Code of China,and should also be an important goal for future legislative improvement.A complete and mature adult voluntary guardianship system requires the priority established by law,strict formal requirements,a wide range of benefiting subjects of adult disabilities,timely and orderly rules for initiation and termination,and effective supervision throughout the whole process.An adult voluntary guardianship system combining the civil code with the specific regulation,the complete main rules combined with the supporting systems,is an essential guarantee for the future adult disabled to pursue a better life with dignity.
