Practice and Enlightenment of Strengthening Ethnic Association,Communication and Integration in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region since 1949

1949年以来,广西壮族自治区坚持贯彻落实党的民族政策,坚持民族区域自治制度,着力推进社会文化发展,致力于改善民生,为广西壮族自治区民族关系的和谐发展奠定了物质基础,营造了良好的社会环境。广西壮族自治区各民族在经济交往、文化交流、族际通婚、族际交友等方面的交往交流交融范围日益扩大,程度日益加深。新中国成立以来广西壮族自治区加强民族交往交流交融的实践证明,为了促进民族团结进步事业,培育和铸牢中华民族共同体意识,必须着力抓好以下四个方面工作:要善于挖掘和合理利用历史资源;要坚持执行党的民族政策,提供政治保障;要提供坚实有力的经济保障;要构建涵盖历史、经济、政治、文化和居住格局等在内的互嵌式民族社会结构。

Since 1949,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has consistently carried out the CPC&the Central Government’s ethnic policy,adhering to the system of regional ethnic autonomy,promoting socio-cultural development and improving the people’s livelihood.These measures have laid a material foundation for the harmonious development of ethnic relations in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and created a good social environment.The scope and degree of communication and integration among all ethnic groups in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in economic and cultural exchanges,inter-ethnic marriage,inter-ethnic friendship and other aspects are expanding day by day.The practice of strengthening association,communication and integration in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region since the founding of the People’s Republic of China has proved that in order to promote the healthy development of ethnic unity and progress,and to foster and consolidate the awareness of the community of the Chinese nation with a shared destiny,it is necessary to focus on the following four aspects:we should be good at excavating and rationally utilizing historical resources;we should adhere to the CPC’s ethnic policy and provide political guarantee;we should provide a strong economic security and to construct an interrelated social structure with rich historical,economic,political,cultural and living implications.
