This article takes the cultural design of Eight Scenes in the residence project of"Baozhuo Villa"on the original site the Humble Administrator's Garden at Suzhou as an example,and explains in detail how to explore the historical context of the Humble Administrator's Garden concerning its unique location,owners and design culture in order to inherit the culture context of the Humble Administrator's Garden as the main line to establishes the design theme.By this way the cultural design of Eight Scenes in"Baozhuo Villa"is incorporating traditional garden culture into residential environment designs,to create a representative contemporary residential garden for China and the whole world,meanwhile with certain reference value for the contemporary inheritance of Chinese garden culture.
