In the Hong Kong film industry,Teddy Chan is renowned for his action movies and his capability of creating movies of new genres.His career can be divided into 3 phases.Themed on the father-son relationship,his commercial movies deliver more cultural meanings than their genres.Chan’s movies tell the stories of the nobodies in great eras,consciously speak for the subjectivity,and construct a nationalist identity for the Hong Kong people on big screens with an international creative vision.
