The emergence and development of the Hunan Army affected the course of modern Chinese history to a certain extent.Its profound influence on the society of the late Qing Dynasty is mainly reflected in the following aspects.First,the status of the Han people in the power structure of the Qing Dynasty improved;secondly,it changed the military system of the Qing Dynasty and made the local landlord armed forces the backbone of the national military;thirdly,it accelerated the modernization process of China in the late Qing Dynasty and promoted talents in Hunan coming out in large numbers.
