Fully Affirm Historical Status of the Southern Hunan Uprising and Vigorously Carry forward Its Revolutionary Spirit

湘南起义在中国革命史和党领导的武装斗争史上的地位不应低估。我们应在起义时空的选择与斗争的准备,起义的组织工作与军事工作,起义的规模、声势及其群众工作、土地革命等方面弥补既往研究的缺陷,充分肯定湘南起义应有的历史定位。与湘南起义重要历史地位紧密联系的是,湘南起义在起义过程中所凝成的坚定的革命信念、英勇的献身精神、积极的探索创新、赤诚的为民情怀等革命精神和红色基因,更值得我们今天在党史学习教育中进一步研究和宣传、弘扬与继承。

The position of the Southern Hunan Uprising in the history of Chinese revolution and the armed struggle history led by the party should not be underestimated.We should make up for its shortcomings of previous researches of the uprising in the aspects as:choice of time and space,the preparation of struggle,organizing military work,scale,influence,mass work,agrarian revolution and so on,and must fully affirm the historical orientation of the uprising in the Southern Hunan.The close contact with its historical position lies in the following aspects:firm revolutionary belief,heroic dedication,active exploration&innovation,sincere revolutionary feelings for the people and the red gene,all of which should be done in research and publicity,promotion and inheritance in the learning process of the historical education of the CPC in today's China.
