Transport of the plant hormone auxin(lndole-3-acetic acid;IAA)is crucial to ensure proper growth patterns.In particular,the regular spacing of lateral roots(LRs)is governed by intricate auxin movements and an internal oscillator,called the“root clock”(Xuan et al.,2020).Multiple auxin influx and efflux carriers have been characterized in the broad context of root development.
