建中会盟所定唐蕃疆界考

A Study on Border Delimitation between the Tang and Tubo Regime in Jiangzhong Alliance Meeting

建中四年唐蕃通过会盟划定双方疆界,是中古时期中原政权与相邻政权之间会盟定界的代表。就疆界形态而言,在黄河以北、剑南及其以南区域,唐蕃疆界以自然山川为限隔,略呈线形;黄河以南、剑南以北,则是由"唐方守界-闲田-蕃方守界"组成的疆界,为带状。二者皆可基本考实。此外,盟文还以若干补充条款,规定了这一疆界尚未涉及之区域的管辖问题等。建中会盟仪式完成后,唐蕃于边境竖立界碑,并将双方盟好之事历告边州,以此确定"疆埸",这项事宜持续了数月才告完成。

The border delimitation between the Tang and Tubo Regime in the fourth year of the Jianzhong Period is a typical example of border delimitation in alliance meeting between the Central Dynasties and their neighboring regimes in the middle ancient times.In terms of status of border,in the north of Yellow River,Jiannan and the regions to its south there were natural mountains and rivers which presented the border as the shape of line,and in the south of Yellow River and the north of Jiannan there was belt defined by"the boundary on Tang’s side,neutral zone,the boundary on the side of Tubo Regime".Both portions can be basically made clear through research.Furthermore,the document of alliance contained some supplementary provisions on jurisdiction issues in regions that were not mentioned above.After completion of the ceremony the Tang and Tubo Regime established boundary markers at the border,and informed the border cities of all agreements between both parties.
