On the Cultural Origin of the Ideal of Aesthetic Freedom in Chinese and Western Literary

古希腊文明和中国秦汉前文明应该是中西方古代文化的发生时期。古希腊文明是海洋为基础的商品经济,强调分工合作的社会关系,实行民主政治,科学理性健全发育。中国秦汉前文明是农耕为基础的自给自足经济,强调血缘宗亲的伦理关系,实行君主专制政治,伦理理性超常发育。从文化发生的角度言,西方文化的基本性质是历史理性主义,中国文化的基本性质是伦理理性主义。

The ancient Greek civilization and the Chinese civilization before Qin-Han Dynasty should be the origin of Chinese and western culture.The ancient Greek civilization was characterized by the commodity economy based on the ocean,which emphasized the social relations of division of labour,democracy in political system and the sound development of scientific rationalism.The Chinese civilization before Qin-Han Dynasty featured self-sufficiency economy based on farming,which emphasized the ethical relations of consanguinity,absolute monarchy and supernormal development of ethical rationalism.From the perspective of cultural origin,the nature of the western culture was historical rationalism while that of the Chinese culture was ethical rationalism.
