摘要
Resources and environment are two basic problems that all over the world encounter for economic development.As known,green chemical engineering is an important strategy to achieve sustainable development.It is one of the important ways to solve the shortage of resources,energy,and alleviate environmental degradation.It is also the core foundation of science and technology for improving the quality of human life and ensuring green development,and will produce huge economic benefits.The intensification of chemical engineering process has the characteristics of“smaller,faster,safer,more sustainable and cheaper”.It is a new green chemical technology that can significantly reduce the size of the equipment.Furthermore,it has advantages of high efficiency,energy saving,and clean,therefore can promote green sustainable development.Recently,Green Chemical Engineering(GreenChE)has the honor to interview professor Zhigang Lei—elected Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor and one of the leading scientists in intensification of chemical engineering process.He introduced the main scientific issues of green chemical engineering and intensification of chemical engineering process.
