俄罗斯的英语教学:民族文化保留和自我认同问题

摘要 众所周知,学习外语的学生应在了解所学语言的特性的前提下准备好进行跨文化交际。因此,学习外语应同时学习对象国文化。而在跨文化交际中能够用外语表达本国文化同样重要,外语教学应注重培养学生用外语展示本国文化遗产的能力。基于这一理念和俄罗斯初等、普通和中等(完全)教育的国家标准,我们为俄罗斯学生编写了一套教材,将俄语和俄罗斯文化融入英语教学中。我们相信,这种方法对于在中小学主要外语--英语教学过程中培养学生的俄罗斯民族认同感发挥重要作用。本文概述了在С.Г.捷尔米纳索娃教授的学术指导下,"学术丛书/教材"出版社的《英语》系列教程中实践此方法的情况。 It is well-known that students who learn a foreign language should be ready for intercultural communication and be aware of specific cultural features of the countries where this language is used.Thus,learning a foreign language should go hand in hand with studying the culture of countries where this language is used,which is the main means of communication.Nevertheless,being able to present one’s native culture in the target foreign language is no less important for intercultural communication.It is apparent that foreign language teaching should also be focused on preparing students for presenting their cultural heritage in conversations with foreigners.With this idea and the Federal Standard of Russian Secondary Education in mind we created a coursebook for Russian schoolchildren,which teaches English through juxtaposing the culture of Englishspeaking countries with Russian cultural heritage.We believe this method is crucial for preserving national culture and identity by means of the English language,which is learnt by the majority of Russian schoolchildren.The paper outlines the implementation of this method in the"English"course published by"Akademkniga\Uchebnik"under academic supervision of Prof.S.G.Ter-Minasova.
