Moscow—Petushki is an outstanding masterpiece of the famous Soviet writer Venedikt Yerofeyev of the 20 th century, which is praised by the world as a pioneering work of Russian postmodernism. This work was controversial at the beginning, but later became world-famous.It embodies the author’s deep thoughts on the plight and tragedy of individual survival under the disaster of the times. The name of the author, narrator, and protagonist of the work is the same. The image of the narrator and protagonist is highly consistent with the image of the author himself. With the help of the famous"author image"theory of Soviet scholar B.B.Vinogradov,this article analyzes and summarizes the author’s image from three aspects:the characteristics of the language layer, the mask of actors, and the features of perspective.
