Ren Naiqiang’s Important Contribution to the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet

任乃强先生是中国现代著名的藏学家和民族史学家,一生致力于西南民族尤其是藏族的地理、历史和社会研究。任乃强先生的学术造诣为西藏和平解放作出了重要贡献。第一,其康藏研究的学术造诣为和平解放西藏献策奠定了学术基础;第二,其经世致用的治学思想为和平解放西藏献策提供了历史经验;其三,其爱国为民的治学宗旨为西藏和平解放贡献了对策建议。

Ren Naiqiang is a famous modern Chinese Tibetologist and ethnohistorian who devoted his life to the geography,history and social studies of the southwestern ethnic groups,especially the Tibetans.This paper is based on Ren Naiqiang’s works,with reference to the writer’s understanding of Mr.Ren and relevant academic research results,discusses Ren Naiqiang’s important contribution to the peaceful liberation of Tibet from three perspectives.First,his achievement of"Kham Studies"laid the academic foundation for the contribution to the peaceful liberation of Tibet;Second,the thought of"Humanistic Pragmatism"provided historical experience for making contributions to the peaceful liberation of Tibet;Third,the research purpose of loving for the country and for the people provided countermeasures and suggestions for Tibet’s peaceful liberation.
