Contemporary Western Post-Humanism:Paradigms,Issues and Implications

作为一种跨学科思潮,当代西方后人类主义日益凸显。尽管其思想来源纷杂,但也形成了一定的研究范式:批判后人类主义与科技后人类主义。两种范式并不是界限清晰、完全独立的研究路径,而是相互汇聚融合且形成了当代西方后人类主义的核心议题,主要包括对人的解构、技术人工物的凸显、动物转向、后人类主体和生命政治等的探讨。特别是在新兴生命技术、人工智能技术发展图景中,后人类主义绝不仅仅是一种幻象,恰恰相反,它提供了一定的思想资源以在技术化生存时代指导如何正确处理人与技术的关系。

As an interdisciplinary trend of thought,contemporary western post-humanism has become more and more prominent.Although the sources of thought are various,some paradigms like critical post-humanism and technological post-humanism have been formed.The two paradigms hasn't clear boundaries and independent research paths;on the contrary,they mutually converge and jointly form the core issues of contemporary western post-humanism,mainly including the discussions on deconstruction of human being,prominence of technological artifacts,animal turning,post-human subject,and biopolitics.Especially in the development of emerging life technology and artificial intelligence technology,post-humanism is not just an illusion but it provides certain thought resources to deal with the relationship between human and technology in the era of technological survival.
