Innovation and Practice of Higher Education Exchanges under New Situation between American State Universities and China Provincial Universities

中美关系新形势下高等教育交流面临新的挑战,激发中美大学师生双向交流活力,谋求共赢发展,促进中美关系稳定,是中美大学交流的重要内容。美国州立大学与我国省属高校在服务地方经济发展、培养应用型人才等方面有诸多相似性,中美省州大学的交流合作在我国省属高校创新人才培养、提高教育竞争力等方面可发挥重要作用。江苏省立足地方经济发展对高质量国际化人才的需求,以中美高校学分互认联合培养项目为契机,搭建中美省州教育交流平台,通过实施中美师生双向流动、学者科研合作、产教融合等策略,探索国际化应用型人才培养的新路径,并推动中美人文关系与交流健康积极发展。

As the higher education exchanges has new challenges under the new situation of Sino-American relations, it is important for Sino-American Higher education exchanges to stimulate the two-way exchanges, seek win-win development and promote stable relation. There are many similarities between American state universities and China provincial universities in serving local economic development and cultivating applied talents, etc. The exchanges and cooperation between the above two sides help the China provincial universities to innovate the mode of talents cultivation and improve the competitiveness of higher education. Base on the need of high-quality international talents for local economic development, Jiangsu Province leads to build the higher education exchanges platform by Sino-American Cooperation on Higher Education and Professional Development Program(CHEPD Program). It explores the new way of international applied talents cultivation and promotes the people-to-people relationship by Sino-American students and faculty exchanges, research cooperation, integration of education and industry.
