摘要
文章在研究构建医科院校大学英语教育生态系统基础上,通过对两年教学数据的跟踪收集与横向纵向对比,考察医学生国际交流能力的总体发展及各分项能力的变化趋势,以期为提升医学院校人才国际化水平提供实证基础。研究显示:依据教育生态系统构建的大学英语教学体系,对学生英语语言知识和技能的发展、交际策略能力和跨文化语用能力的提升均有显著促进作用,其中,交际和跨文化两种能力的进步所需周期明显更长。概言之,教育生态系统视阈下的大学英语教学体系可有效促进医学生持续提升国际交流能力。
Based on medical university-oriented ecosystem for college English education,this two-year study explores the overall development of medical students’international communication competence and the changing pattern of its three sub-competences in light of horizontal and vertical comparisons.The attempt was meant to provide empirical support for improving medical students’internationalizing capability.The results show that educational ecosystem-based college English teaching system can exert positive effects on the improvement of students’English language knowledge and skills,as well as that of their communicative strategic competence and cross-cultural pragmatic competence.Whereas,it takes longer time to achieve the latter two dimensions of competencies.To sum up,the eco-system informed college English teaching system contributes to continuous improvement of medical students’international communication competence.
