摘要
三十多年来,科研发表英语(ERPP)研究的文献日益增多,英语非母语(NNES)博士生参与全球学术共建面临的挑战及其原因是重要论题之一,然而学界针对相关研究文献的系统梳理和归纳欠缺。本文回顾了1990—2020年NNES博士生英语学术发表的实证研究,集中考察、分析了这一群体英语学术发表的困境。分析结果表明,NNES博士生英语学术发表的困境主要体现在语言相关问题、研究汇报方式、研究主题与方法定位、学术发表认知与实践、学术身份构建5个方面。文章最后针对这些方面的问题提出了应对策略,并探讨了相关启示。
Past 30 years has witnessed growing literature on English for research publication purposes, and one of the key topics is the difficulties faced by non-native English-speaking(NNES) doctoral students participating in the global academic co-construction and the reasons. However, there is a lack of systematic combing and summarizing of the literature. Focusing on the major difficulties facing NNES doctoral students in English research publication, this paper hereby presents an overview of the related empirical studies published from 1990 to 2020. It reveals that the difficulties are manifested mainly in five aspects, i.e. language issues, norms of research reporting, orientation of research topics and methodology, academic publication cognition and practice, and development of academic identity. Tackling strategies are suggested and implications are discussed in the end.
