Dendrobium officinale,which enjoys a good reputation of"Gold of the Traditional Chinese Medicines",is a precious rare plant species of high medicinal value.In this paper,a detailed introduction was made to the cultivation techniques of the species from such aspects as selection of cultivation sites,preparation of seedlings,planting methods,tending management and disease and pest control,so as to provide reference for cultivation and management of the species in Central Anhui and areas along the Yangtze River.
