自“大中华文库”问世以来,学界对它的评论和研究便应运而生。围绕它的研究主要分为三个方向:出版发行和传播接受研究、副文本研究、语言和翻译策略研究。王宏新作《基于“大中华文库”的中国典籍英译翻译策略研究》聚焦典籍英译“如何译”,是国内首部针对“文库”翻译策略开展系统研究的著作。全书纲举目张,兼及各类文本,译评犀利客观,为典籍英译翻译策略研究提供了新的生长点。

The review and research over The Library of Chinese Classicscame since it was first published.Its research covers three major topics:research on its publication,distribution and dissemination effect,research on its paratexts,and research on its language and translation strategies.The Research on the Translation Strategies Based on The Library of Chinese Classics authored by Professor Wang Hong is the first book attempting such a systematic study on the various types of works selected from“The Library”.This article holds that the book is objective in criticism and sharp in analysis,and helps to provide a new perspective for further research on translation strategies.
