IAMCR:Understanding,Inclusiveness and Pluralism:An Interview with Professor Nico Carpentier,the New President of IAMCR

在本次学术访谈中,尼科·卡彭铁尔教授介绍了国际媒介与传播研究学会的历史、宗旨和未来发展方向,强调其作为一个全球性、批判性学术组织所主张的理解、包容与多元化特征。同时,他还对传播研究的跨学科现象进行了评介,主张用后学科的视角拥抱传播研究的跨学科特征。此外,他还分析了新冠肺炎疫情对人类交往和学术交流的影响,并对国际媒介与传播研究学会2022年北京年会进行了展望,认为这是一个中外学者进行学术交流的好机会。

In this academic interview,Professor Nico Carpentier introduced the history,purpose and future development direction of IAMCR.He emphasized that as a global and critical academic organization,IAMCR advocates inclusiveness,understanding and diversity.He also commented on the interdisciplinary phenomenon of communication research and advocated embracing the interdisciplinary characteristics of communication research from the perspective of post-discipline.In addition,he analyzed the impact of the COVID-19 on human communication and academic exchange and looked forward to the 2022 Beijing annual meeting of the IAMCR,believing that this is a good opportunity for academic exchanges between Chinese and foreign scholars.
