摘要
利用了实验室的标准γ源和Am-Be中子源,搭建了简单的中子探测器系统结构,研究了涂硼稻草管(BCS)和^(6)LiF/ZnS(Ag)闪烁体中子探测器的γ甄别率与相对于^(3)He管的中子探测效率。对比发现BCS的γ甄别率低至10^(-8),而^(6)LiF/ZnS(Ag)闪烁体的γ甄别率预计在10^(-6)。BCS和6LiF/ZnS(Ag)闪烁体相对于3He管的单位面积下中子探测效率分别为106.55%和218.12%。满足了替代^(3)He的基本要求。
A simple neutron detector system structure was built by using the laboratory's standard γ source and Am-Be neutron source.The γ discrimination rate and neutron detection efficiency relative to the ^(3) He tube were studied for the boron straw tube(BCS)and ^(6) LiF/ZnS(Ag)scintillators neutron detector.It was found that the γ discrimination rate of BCS was as low as 10^(-8),while the γ discrimination rate of ^(6) LiF/ZnS(Ag)scintillators was expected to be 10^(-6).The neutron detection efficiency of BCS and ^(6) LiF/ZnS(Ag)scintillator relative to ^(3) He tube per unit area is 106.55%and 218.12%,respectively.It meets the basic requirements of replacing3He.
