A Study on Title Translation of English Suspense Films from the Perspective of Reception Aesthetics

英语悬疑电影片名汉译对其在中国的传播起着重要作用。从接受美学的角度出发,从音译、直译、意译和兼译四个翻译策略入手,探究英语悬疑电影片名汉译过程中译者应如何选择翻译策略来实现观众的期待视野,论证接受美学在翻译中的指导意义,以期对未来的英语电影片名汉译的实践提供参考。

The translation of English suspense film title plays an important role in its communication in China.This paper tries to study the title translation of English suspense films from Chinese into English from the perspective of reception aesthetics,explores how the translator should choose the strategy to realize the audience expect vision from transliteration,literal translation and free translation and so on,and demonstrates the guiding significance of reception aesthetics in English film title translation,hoping to provide references for the practice of future English film title translation.
