摘要
介词形态简单,词义复杂多样,介词语义教学成为英语教学的难点。概念隐喻作为认知工具,将具体的、熟悉的始源域映射到抽象的、难理解的目标域中,是一词多义研究的出发点。通过查找《牛津高阶英汉双解词典(第七版)》,运用概念隐喻理论对介词from的14项语义进行整合分析,发现其引申义项自核心义项发生认知转变。
Prepositions are simple in form but complex in meaning. As in cognitive linguistics,the target domain can be described by conceptual metaphor when using the source domain,which helps polysemy research. By looking up the Oxford Advanced English-Chinese Dictionary( the 7th Edition),totally 14 concepts of the preposition FROM are derived from its central meaning by conceptual metaphor. The purpose is to introduce cognitive linguistic theories on one hand,and to guide English teaching and acquisition on the other.
