摘要
Recent findings have indicated that SorCS2,a member of the vacuolar protein sorting 10 protein(VPS10P)family,has relevance to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease(AD).We observed SorCS2 can accumulate as neurofibrillary tangles(NFTs)-like lesions in AD human brain cerebrum. Then we set to explore NFTs-like lesions from SorCS2 in aged and AD human cerebrum, and whether this pathological hallmark is unique to AD human brains. We characterized SorCS2 changes in postmortem human brains(n=10)from aged and AD subjects.
