摘要 Ischemic stroke remains a refractory disease due to low recovery rate in the world.Although neuroprotection and neurogenesis well correlate with functional recovery after ischemic stroke, the underlying mechanisms are not very clear.Salvianolic acid A(SalA)has numerous biological activities that which includes anti-inflammatory,anti-allergic,anti-aging,anti-oxidant and anti-tumor activity. The aim of this study is to assess the neuroprotective effect of SalA and investigate the underlying mechanism through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in an animal model of focal cerebral ischemia in rats.In this study,we applicate the rat model with middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)to simulate ischemia stroke, cerebral blood flow was restored after 3 hours.SalA was administered intragastrically once daily at the concentrations of 20,40 mg/kg and 60 mg/kg for a.week post ischemia.Neurological functions were detected by Ludmila Belayev score tests.
