《古音汇纂》系统、完备地汇集了汉字的历代注音资料,可借此以宗声音之流变。因此,《古音汇纂》的出版,对音韵学相关学科的研究将起到非常重要的作用,如促进语音史的研究,有助于解决一些语音史上的疑难问题,为上古音归部提供文献依据;有利于解决音类的分合和演变问题,如船禅不分、清入字演变等等;为韵书史研究提供非常直观和独特的视角,进而带来一些重要研究课题和研究方向;可据此观察单个字音发展和演变轨迹,并完善大型历时性辞书的注音体例,有助于解决辞书和查检古音的专门工具书中反切与今音不合的问题,有助于解决大型历时性辞书处理文白异读时碰到的难题等等。

Guyin Huizuan(《古音汇纂》)systematically and completely collects the phonetic materials of Chinese characters in the past dynasties,which can be used to study the change of sound.Therefore,the publication of Guyin Huizuan will play a very important role in the research of phonology related disciplines,such as promoting the study of phonetic history,helping to solve some difficult problems in the history of phonetics,such as providing literature for the division of ancient rhymes.It provides a very intuitive and unique perspective for the study of the history of rhyme books and brings some important research topics and research directions.Based on this,we can observe the development and evolution of the pronunciation of single characters,and improve the phonetic style of large diachronic dictionaries,which will help to solve the problem of incoherence between Fanqie(反切)and modern pronunciation in dictionaries and special reference books for checking ancient Chinese pronunciation,as well as the difficulties encountered in dealing with the different pronunciation between literary and colloquialism in large diachronic dictionaries.
