Deeply Grasping the Historical Logic of Improving People’s Livelihood and Well-Being

中国共产党把马克思主义的普遍原理同中国社会主义革命建设的具体实践相结合,把人民对美好生活的向往作为奋斗目标,不断探索增进中国人民的民生福祉。新中国成立以来,中国共产党对社会主义时期增进民生福祉规律的认识经历了一个逐渐深化和不断成熟的过程。党的十九届五中全会提出实现全体人民共同富裕,确定了新发展阶段社会建设的基本目标,把高质量发展同满足人民美好生活需要紧密结合起来,体现了中国共产党的与时俱进、孜孜追求。

The CPC has combined the general principles of Marxism with the specific practice of China’s socialist revolutionary development,taken the people’s yearning for a better life as its goal,and constantly explored ways to improve the people’s livelihood and well-being.Since the founding of New China,the CPC’s understanding of the law governing the improvement of people’s livelihood and well-being in the socialist period has gone through a process of gradual deepening and constant maturity.The Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth CPC Central Committee proposed to realize the common prosperity of all the people,determined the basic goal of social development in the new development stage,and closely integrated high-quality development with meeting the people’s needs for a better life,reflecting the CPC’s industrious pursuit while keeping pace with the times.
