Enjoying the Nature,Transcending the Things and Forgetting Beauty:On Xiao Gongbi's Thoughts of Aesthetic Realm

萧公弼是中国现代美学史上一位重要的美学学人,是“美学在中国”的早期传播者。在中西文化碰撞之际,他立足中国传统文化,吸收西方美学资源,倡导超越肉体欲望之乐和崇尚道德精神之乐的“乐天”之境,超越尘俗物欲的集真善美为一体的“超物”之境以及超越分别、消除妄念的“忘美”之境,从而使审美发挥着导人向善、遏制欲望的作用。“乐天”“超物”“忘美”之境,不再是单纯的道德境界,而是容纳伦理道德的审美境界,它通向了本体之境、存在之域,这是对中国传统美学的继承,彰显出具有中华民族特色的美学精神。

As one of the important Aesthetic scholar in Chinese history of modern aesthetics,Xiao Gongbi is an early disseminator in the period of"the Aesthetics in China".In the collision between Chinese and western culture,based on Chinese traditional culture,his thoughts absorbed the western aesthetic resources to advocate the joy of beyond human's body,the realm of enjoying the nature which respected for the ethical spirit,the realm of transcending the Things which integrated the true,the good and the beauty,and advocate the realm of forgetting beauty which was transcending the differences and eliminating the precluding.Thus,the aesthetic plays a role of guiding people to good and restraining desire.The realm of enjoying the nature,transcending things and forgetting beauty was no longer a pure moral realm,but an aesthetic realm containing ethics and morality.It leads to the realm of ontology and the realm of existence,which is the inheritance of Chinese traditional aesthetics and highlights the aesthetic spirit with Chinese national characteristics.
