Objective To discuss the influence of early insulin intensive hypoglycemic therapy on the expression of plasma secretagogues(SCGN)in non-obese patients with newly-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods There were 40 cases of non-obese patients with newly-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus selected as the experimental group, and 40 healthy subjects as reference group. The experimental group was treated with early insulin intensive hypoglycemic therapy. The plasma SCGN before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, the plasma SCGN(898.5±144.5)pg/ml of the experimental group was significantly lower than(1234.7±160.2)pg/ml of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=9.856,P=0.000<0.05).After treatment, the plasma SCGN of the experimental group was(1150.5±158.4)pg/ml,which was lower than(1234.7±160.2)pg/ml of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.364,P=0.021<0.05).After treatment, the plasma SCGN of the experimental group was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early insulin intensive hypoglycemic therapy can improve the plasma SCGN in non-obese patients with newly-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the damage ofβ-cells can be assessed by plasma SCGN levels.
