摘要
对艺术现象和批评的深入理解,应将其放置在特定的语境关系中。在把握当代西方介入性艺术批评的基本问题,即"什么是艺术的‘介入’"的基础上,需要将介入性艺术放置在西方新自由主义语境中,来审读介入性艺术现象和1989年后西方政治秩序之间的复杂关系。事实上,当还原介入性艺术实践的历史和社会现场后,我们可以认识到:介入性艺术批评所针对的基本问题是新自由主义秩序下的当代西方民主政治的问题。因此,介入性艺术实践和批评的危机,也是新自由主义秩序下西方民主体制自身的危机。通过艺术反思这种危机将为研究非西方的介入性艺术提供多种可能,帮助思考介入的社会主义经验,这对形成本土的介入性艺术理论而言意义重大。
An in-depth understanding of art practices and criticism should be placed in a specific context.To answer the question"what is the‘engagement’of socially engaged art,"it should be placed in a neoliberal context by examining the complex relationship between socially engaged art and the"post-89"Western democracy.In fact,restoring the history and social circumstance of socially engaged art practice,we realize that the key point of socially engaged art and its criticism is the issue about contemporary democracy under the neoliberal social and political order.The debate on socially engaged art in the West is actually a debate between two democratic systems.Therefore,the crisis of socially engaged art is actually a crisis of the western democratic system under the neoliberal social order.This crisis provides us with many possibilities for studying nonWestern socially engaged art.In particular,it helps us to think about the socialist legacy,which is of great significance for the theoretical formation of our socially engaged art theory and criticism in China.
