Positive crankcase ventilation,also called PCV is a widely applied technique on engines to prevent crankcase pressure being too high,extend oil service life,reduce wear and corrosion of engine parts,and prevent engine oil leakage.In this paper,a brand of direct injection turbocharged engine is taken as an example to explain the working principle of positive crankcase ventilation system and related failure mode.
